Google "Download Windows 7 Beta", and you'll see a link to Microsoft's Web site with the exact same title. You'll need to create a Windows Live ID to get an activation key.

If you have a spare hard drive you can use for testing purposes, it might be worth your while to give it a shot. It doesn't cost anything, and it's perfectly legal.

And if you don't like it, you can throw it away. :)

Did you ever get the all the drivers and everything to work properly now? How's the battery life on win 7 if you get everything working.
I plan on buying a netbook and this is a good choice, priced currently at $300 at newegg. What do you think? Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the delay. I was busy with the Salon Son & Image videos.

I didn't check the battery life or if all the drivers were installed. But what needed to work properly did work properly.

I also install Windows 7 on an Asus RS100-X5/PI2 rackmount server, and everything is working properly. I've even edited my Salon Son & Image video on it, and was impressed with the performance.

If Microsoft doesn't screw this up before the release, I'm definitely buying Windows 7 when it comes out.

i'm now considering buying a 1000HE and i heard really good things about it. newegg has it for less than $400 and i think it's a good choice.
